The Dubai superyacht was originally commissioned by Prince Jefri of Brunei in the 1990s, with exterior styling by Andrew Winch. 3. Impressive Features

This floating palace boasts a 21.3-metre-wide atrium, a swimming pool, and a helipad large enough to accommodate a Blackhawk helicopter. The yacht’s massive volume, 12,488 gross tons, was the largest of its kind when launched, offering expansive space for its high-end amenities.

4. A Challenging Build Process

The yacht’s construction wasn’t straightforward. After several changes in leadership and location, Platinum Yachts, a subsidiary of Dubai World, completed the yacht. The build involved nearly 800 people, including hundreds of subcontractors, making it a monumental team effort.

The superyacht Dubai was officially launched in 2006 after years of delays and challenges. Despite the time that has passed, it remains one of the most iconic superyachts.
