In February 2022, after a record-breaking five-month refit, Njord by Bergman Design House finished the 56m Benetti Galaxy. The yacht’s interior has undergone a major transformation with the inclusion of cosmic design features to fit the client’s out-of-this-world brief.
The vessel features many luxuries, including a private nightclub, multi-sensory saloon, meditation and wellness space, a cinema room and private music studio, a touch-and-go helipad, and a private party deck. Re-delivered to her owner last month, the opulent intergalactic superyacht is now ready to transport anyone who comes aboard to another world.
“Working with Njord by Bergman Design House has been an incredible journey. They truly understood what we wanted and delivered it in record time and on a grander scale than we could have ever imagined. The design exceeded our expectations and the day we got the ‘keys’ to Galaxy it became our home and not our yacht because of all the changes that made it ours. Our favourite room is the avatar room, where we regularly throw dance parties and the snug. We climb in there, shut the door, and the world just disappears” commented Galaxy’s owner.
Njord’s captivating design
Amongst the most notable features on board is a wall covering by artist Dylan Cole, whose work features in Disney blockbusters such as Avatar, Maleficent and Superman. Creating the client’s own ‘Pandora World’ marks Cole’s first yacht project. The incredible wall covering occupies the whole main saloon, which serves as a relaxation and yoga space by day, and the owners’ very own private members club deck for entertaining by night.
Benetti Galaxy features a host of intriguing and functional finishes throughout. Beautiful stones and coloured glass create visual spectacles, whilst bespoke fabrics and veneers add to the yacht’s individual character. Natural components such as rock crystal and entirely sustainable textiles are used throughout. The flooring was specifically chosen to simulate the sensation of waves beneath the feet and to heighten the senses. Every bespoke piece of furniture on board is made of natural materials, helping achieve the owners’ vision.
Exterior-wise, Njord has rebranded Galaxy’s look and feel from the nameplate logo and lifted youth into her exterior styling, with black painted mast and line accents alongside a full paint of the hull. In an effort to breathe new life into the vessel
