One of the most prestigious yachting events of the year is over and Superyacht Content is sharing 12 reveals and launches from the Monaco Yacht Show 2022. This years yacht show brought together an impressive fleet of over 130 Superyachts, and 600 exhibitors+.

Let’s take a look at 12 Reveals and Launches that took place at the Monaco Yacht Show 2022:

1. Feadship revealed the 85m concept Slice

The 11th luxury Feadship yacht concept, Superyacht Slice is one of the most ground-breaking to date. Her initial concept comes from Studio de Voogt, M/Y Slice is designed to “turn the inside out and the outside in”.

2. Heesen and Winch Design join forces on explorer yacht concept XV67

Heesen Yachts, and British studio Winch Design have partnered to present the 67 metre explorer yacht concept, XV67 during the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show.

“The new XV67 remains true to our original design intent: to create an exceptionally capable and beautiful bluewater voyager that will inspire owners to venture into new terrain.” – Hessen

3. Meyer Yachts revealed the 210m concept TWO10

“Here we show once again what innovations Meyer Yachts is capable of. We design our concepts in such a way that we can also make them a reality in this form. This makes our yachts technology pioneers from which many other types of ships and people will also benefit,” explains Jan Meyer, Managing Director.

4. Benetti presented their 85m custom Project Oro

A press conference was held by Benetti at the Hermitage Hotel to announce their plans for Project ORO.
“During the development of Project ORO, we wanted to seize the opportunity to express numerous innovative concepts, aspiring to bring them together in a unique yacht. By developing a language of style featuring great visual purity and strong characterisation of the main masses, and by renouncing the criteria of civil architecture in favour of a freer and more fluid approach, we have tried to propel the project into an attainable future. We hope the bold content recognises a series of desires that customers in this size range frequently express, and are unlikely to have found fulfilled by the boats they have looked at so far.” –  Giorgio M. 5. Project UFO: ICON to begin work on 70m conversion project

Upon completion, Project UFO will be one of the largest explorer yachts in her size range at 3,000 GT with an interior designed by H2 Yacht Design and Ice Class classification.The company sourced a 66-metre offshore support and rescue vessel capable of circumnavigating the globe as a charter yacht. Project UFO will be extended to 70 metres.

The latest diesel-electric model concept has a surface cruise speed of nine knots and an underwater speed of four knots and it will able to stay underwater for up to four days at a time.

7. Al Seer Marine, MB92 and P&O Marinas, to Create World Leading Superyacht Service Centre and Refit Shipyard for the Gulf Region for 2026

Al Seer Marine has been looking to develop a world class Superyacht refit and repair facility in the UAE since 2019.The shipyard construction is scheduled for completion in 2026, with the joint venture offering its Superyacht repair and refit services from next year in 2023, as the start of this strategic plan.

8. SuperYachtsMonaco announce partnership with Ulstein Design & Solution AS

Ulstein and SuperYachtsMonaco will co-operate to market Ulstein’s yacht and yacht support segments of their ship design division.

9. Fraser Yachts announced that in the past 2 weeks, they’ve sold three significant yachts, with another currently under agreement.

10. OmniAccess launch”NextGen Fusion” connectivity plans

The launch of their new service means that it will now be available to clients across Europe from Q4 of 2022. Existing nextGen VSAT plans with Unity+ will be migrated to “nextGen FUSION” and will have access to unlimited 4G and 5G data at no additional cost.

11. The Water Revolution Foundation signs partnership with MTU-Rolls Royce

The first partnership between Rolls-Royce-MTU and the water revolution foundation was announced as part of Rolls-Royce-MTU’s sustainability drive.

12. SuperYachtTimes unveiled their brand new YachtEye system, YachtEye AI

In previous versions of YachtEye, the user had to input data into the system, which was then visually displayed. Whereas, the brand-new YachtEye Ai is designed to keep guests entertained with relevant information on the yacht, the trip, and things happening around the yacht.
