Bosun, 70m+ support yacht

West Nautical are recruiting a Bosun for a 70m+ world cruising standalone support style yacht with a large variety of tenders and toys and as such relies heavily on strong and organised deck operations. Tender driving and crane experience is key for this role as it is very much a hands on position due to the nature of how the vessel operates.

The vessel is fully ISM and ISPS compliant and is involved in both Private and Charter use so we expect candidates to have had previous exposure and a level of competence that comes with holding a CoC.

The deck rotation is set up so that the Senior Captain / Owners Representative is not onboard the rotational Chief Officer then step up as Relief Captains. This allows the Bosun to undertake a navigational watch at sea and assume some of the responsibilities of the Second Officer.

The position offers:
2:1 months rotation taking into consideration vessel movement and itineraries as required.
Return flights for each rotation.
Full comprehensive Medical Insurance.
Probation period of 3 months worked onboard.
Training is covered at the discretion of the Senior Captain and is repayable by the crewmember on a pro rata basis if they leave the vessel within a year of completing the course.
Salary 4000 EUR PCM / MLC Contract

Officer of the Watch (Yacht) 3000GT
GMDSS GOC
ECDIS (Generic and Transas Type Specific)
Basic STCW
ENG1 Medical or equivalent
Yacht Rating Certificate or Commercially Endorsed Yachtmaster
Personal Watercraft Certificate of Proficiency (Preferred)
Ship Security Officer (Preferred)
