Description

West Nautical is recruiting a Rotational Captain for a 44m Private/Charter Vessel.

The Vessel is an explorer style Yacht which is a dual season Charter Yacht which doesn’t have a homeport as such. The itinerary for the Vessel is Caribbean season this season and Mediterranean 2025 with long term plans to get off the beaten path.

The successful candidate will need to have at least 2-3 years experience on a similar sized Charter Vessel, proven longevity and will need to be comfortable and confident in all aspects of running a Commercial Yacht; Crew/Guest Management, Seamanship, Budget management, ISM/ISPS/MLC and ensuring the safety of the Crew, Guests and Vessel. Able to lead by example, motivate Crew, with excellent communication skills and ability to handle direct interaction with Owner, Management and Brokers. Reliable, responsible, organised, professional, positive, with the ability to calmly handle pressure and react with maturity to any situation.

Details:

  • Start date: TBC but likely early 2025
  • Qualifications: STCW, ENG1, Master 500 GT
  • Visas: B1/B2 & Schengen
  • Package: Salary – DOE, Rotation 2:2, MLC Contract, Health Insurance and Flights
