As part of an ongoing commitment to support the well-being of crew superyacht crew, Yachting International Radio is excited to announce a series of workshops aimed at addressing mental health, physical fitness, and overall wellness. These sessions, taking place on Friday, June 28th and Saturday, June 29th, are designed to provide you with valuable skills and knowledge to enhance your professional and personal life onboard. Here’s an overview of the sessions and esteemed speakers you can look forward to.

Friday, June 28th

01. Mental Health First Aid Learn essential skills to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health issues among yacht crew. This session, led by industry experts, will provide practical strategies to support colleagues in distress and ensure a healthier working environment.

02. Dealing with Depression Onboard Explore effective methods for recognizing and managing depression while working on a yacht. This session will cover coping strategies, support systems, and ways to maintain mental well-being in a challenging and confined environment.

03. Yachtie Body Shaming Address the pervasive issue of body shaming within the yacht crew community. This session will discuss its impact on mental health and self-esteem, and offer ways to foster a more inclusive and supportive atmosphere onboard.

04. Meditation Session Geraldine Hardy, a global business leader and mental health advocate, will confirm the details for this special session tomorrow. This meditation session aims to provide techniques for relaxation and mental clarity, essential for life at sea.


Saturday, June 29th

01. Relationships Onboard and Getting Over Trauma Delve into the complexities of maintaining healthy relationships and coping with trauma while living and working on a yacht. Learn techniques for communication, conflict resolution, and emotional healing in close quarters.

02. Sobriety and Culture Onboard Examine the culture of alcohol consumption in the yachting industry and its effects on crew members. This session will discuss the challenges of maintaining sobriety, provide support resources, and promote a healthier onboard culture.

03. How to Pick a Therapist Gain insights on selecting the right therapist for your needs. This session will guide you through the process of finding a mental health professional who understands the unique pressures of yacht life and can provide effective support.

04. Exercises While Onboard Discover practical exercises that can be performed in the limited space of a yacht to maintain physical fitness and mental well-being. This session will include demonstrations and tips for integrating regular physical activity into your daily routine.
