Known for its eight-week charter season, Below Deck stands out as one of Bravo’s most popular series. In this article, we cover the changes made to the line-up of Below Deck Season 11 and take a look at the season’s chosen Superyacht when the sensational reality show returns to screens on February 5, 2024.
Captain Lee Replaced
Below Deck Season 11 is set to bring a fresh perspective with Captain Kerry Titheradge stepping into Captain Lee’s role. He has 30 years’ worth of experience working on boats and has spent almost two decades in yachting.
New And Old Faces
This time around, viewers can anticipate the familiar presence of chief stew Fraser Olender and Ben Willoughby, along with the introduction of a new chef, Anthony Iracane (a French restaurateur hailing from Miami). Leading the deck crew will be Bosun Jared Woodin, while deckhands Marie “Sunny” Marquis and Kyle Stillie join the ensemble. The crew is completed by the addition of new stews Cat Bough, Xandi Olivier, and Barbie Pascual.
Where Is Season 11 Chartering?
The series, according to Bravo, will unfold in Grenada – where the crew of the 60m Benetti motoryacht St David, under the new captain’s command, will embark on another captivating adventure through crystal blue waters.
Superyacht St David Returns
St David, previously featured in Season 10, is the largest yacht in the show’s history. Notably, it is also one of the few yachts in the series referred to by its actual name. Accommodating up to 12 guests, the yacht boasts six cabins including a split-level master suite designed to welcome ample natural light. Recently refitted in 2021, she also has an impressive arsenal of water toys.
About St David
Delivered in 2008 by the renowned Italian shipyard Benetti (sixth-largest in the fleet at the time), St David stands as a bespoke yacht boasting both interior and exterior designs crafted by the esteemed British studio Winch Design. She achieved finalist status at the 2009 World Superyacht Awards, where her sleek, supercar-inspired profile left a lasting impression on the judging panel.
The Design
St David’s social spaces exude a classic Baroque theme, featuring intricate marquetry crafted from satin woods. The skylounge area is inspired by a ‘Tuscan palazzo,’ showcasing a mosaic floor adorned in turquoise, white, and gold.
Features
A standout feature is the graceful spiral staircase that traverses all three decks, illuminated by a skylight situated in the spa pool on the sun deck. The sun deck has many sun loungers and a spread of sunpads where guests can unwind. A shaded section of the deck features a relaxed dining setup and a spa pool surrounded by additional sunpads, adaptable for an al fresco cinema screen.
