Royal Huisman has announced 85m Project 410. The Sloop, which will be the largest in the world provides a ‘revolutionary’ step into the future for superyachts.
The experienced owner seeks to create a ‘leading-edge project that is head-turning, arresting and iconic’. Additionally, the client requested the vessel provides all the safety features, comforts and luxuries of a mega yacht.
Frers Design and Wetzels Brown collaborated to provide the concept that the owner chose to meet the specific brief. Mani Frers designed a revolutionary sloop with a novel blend of naval architecture, ingenious use of space and structures, and breathtaking exterior design. Alongside this, Gill Brown’s interesting and unexpected interiors transport guests into a new world. The plans are complete after a year of intense work, and the exciting preparations for the construction phase have begun.
Project 410 features an eco-friendly design
Perhaps the most exciting news about Project 410, is its energy efficiency and sustainability features. The project has a strong focus on structural recyclability and renewable energy, as well as quiet operation and silent mode sailing. The boat will use low-impact, recyclable materials to generate remarkable effects whenever possible. As well as this, Project 410 features a future-proofed design, to ensure it can adapt to any major technological advancements.
Because the yacht will be capable of regenerating energy while sailing, the revolutionary technology Royal Huisman will deploy on Project 410 qualifies for the new Lloyd’s “Hybrid Power” accreditation. A massive 2-megawatt battery bank enables silent and fume-free propulsion while also ensuring maximum sustainability.
A word from Royal Huisman CCO Peter Naeyé:
“It is an extraordinary honour to be entrusted with a project of such scale, ambition, and technical sophistication. This unique Project 410 perfectly reflects ‘who we are and what we do’ at Royal Huisman. A true performance superyacht with supersized dimensions, and full of technical innovations. This project is already iconic in every aspect and will be built by the finest craftsmen in the world in full collaboration with her talented designers. We’re all going to enjoy the realisation of bespoke excellence embraced with ’New World’ technology.”
